Criminal Trial and Xenia Police Reports
In four years, I haven't come up with a new or more creative way to say that men should not be allowed to use women's locker rooms at the YMCA. Men should never be permitted to watch women and little girls shower and change. It was wrong four years ago and it is still wrong today.
But when an adult man removes all of his clothes and approaches young girls...
IT IS EVIL AND IT IS PREDATORIAL.
TO THE XENIA MUNICIPAL COURT:
I have some questions.
Why were some police reports withheld from evidence during the trial?
Why was a statement from a 16-year-old Xenia student withheld and her voice not even heard?
Why did the court strongly suggest that witnesses not speak to the media and remove all social media posts?
Why did you let the defense attorneys control the speech in the courtroom by insisting that Darren's preferred pronouns be used? It made the courtroom chaotic.
Why would anyone ever report a crime again in a women's locker room at the YMCA if the court has already framed its decision and case based on a lie? It felt like the witnesses were on a collision course of "common sense" vs the "crazy"
I stood in front of that courtroom and told the truth...Why didn't you?
The Verdict is in:
"NOT GUILTY"

16 Year Old Hannah's Police Statement

Hannah's Statement
During the first week of November, 2022, I was approached by an unclothed man in the Xenia YMCA women’s locker room. My friend and I arrived at the YMCA at 3:30 for our school’s swim team practice. We were near the front of the locker room next to the lockers. I placed all my bags and belongings on the bench for a moment to get what I needed out of them. My female swim coach joins us in the locker room when she was entering to get to the pool. Me, my friend, and coach were talking when my coach looks down the hallway of the locker room and sees this naked man walking in our direction. She warns us and we all turn our backs to the hall so we can avoid having to see him. The man comes up directly behind me and says “excuse me.” Instinctively, my friend, coach, and I quickly maneuver around the bench we were next to, to get out of the way. I was thrown off guard, so I left all my belongings on the bench where I placed them when I arrived. While moving out of the way, I became aware he was fully naked which made me extremely uncomfortable that he had been directly behind me moments before. My coach suggested we go wait elsewhere, until he left. After waiting around 10 minutes, me and my friend went back to gather our bags, but he was still there standing- but finally had underwear on. I was unable to get to my bags & belongings, including my car keys, phone, and wallet, for 20 minutes. I felt uncomfortable and inconvenienced.
Fairborn Police Reports are pending and will be added to this post as they become available.
You Can Speak Up for Women and Girls Safety and Privacy!
Call the YMCA, ask to speak to the director and ask why they will not protect minor girls from these dangerous experiences that so many young girls have already had in women's locker rooms. Email the YMCA board members and corporate staff. If enough people speak up, perhaps the YMCA will realize the frustration that many families are facing and will change their practice of letting men enter women's locker rooms. No parent or guardian would ever want their daughter to have her privacy violated by a man, especially a man who the YMCA has permitted to roam free in a woman's locker-room based on his feelings.
Sex based spaces are necessary for this very reason!
The Ohio Save Women's Sports Act was enacted into law as part of House Bill 68 on January 24, 2024, when the Ohio General Assembly successfully overrode a gubernatorial veto. This current Ohio law provides protection for students in every state K-12 school and university-level sports division designated for biological females.
Ohio House Bill 798 would extend those protections to all public facilities in Ohio (prisons, airports, libraries, state parks, etc.) Unfortunately, the YMCA is a private organization, so this law would still not apply to them. Thank you to the Xenia City Council for supporting this resolution for protections in our city.
There are likely only two possible paths for change at the YMCA. They need to be sued for discriminating against the rights of women and young girls, or they need to hear from many people who are angry over their (hidden) policies.
You can learn more about a Xenia School Board resolution possibly being voted on in the near future that would help inform parents about the dangers associated with the YMCA here.
Our children are precious and need to be protected. The YMCA has kept secrets and exploited the children in our community for their own financial gain. The 70,000 children who have entered the YMCA of Greater Dayton facilities each year without having knowledge or forewarning of potential dangers is wrong. PROTECT YOUR KIDS!
